Jeffery T.D. Wallace is a social entrepreneur focused on finding solutions to combat educational and economic inequities through disruptive and transformative change. He currently serves as president and CEO of LeadersUp, a nonprofit that bridges the gap between the untapped potential of young people and the business challenge of finding and keeping the best talent.
With Wallace, LeadersUp has established best practices to tackle high youth unemployment in Chicago, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2015, the organization has influenced over 60,000 young adults and generated an estimated total economic impact of $956 million from working with 200-plus companies. Under his watch, LeadersUp has grown from an initial $1 million investment from coffee giant Starbucks to an operating budget of over $4.5 million.
Wallace has gained many accolades, including being named one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in 2018 and the “2020 Community Leader Vision Award” from the African American Board Leadership Institute.
